Today, hiphop culture is being used as "media propaganda" against the black race:

Most of the easily-accessible, mainstream rap promotes and glorifies criminal/destructive behaviour for a specific reason. That reason is to keep the most negative stereotypes of the black race alive in the mainstream conciousness.

There's a reason you have to "dig and find" black music that promotes positivity. Meanwhile, i turn my radio on and every other song is telling me to "move that dope" or glorifying lean and popping pills

You know I heard something today that's relevant to this thread. The same system that was in place during slavery is still happening, but its just that the look of the system has changed. Where we rebelled against the system to find a better way we used conscious rap. That was a serious threat to the system.

Gansta rap is a different situation in that they are rebelling against a system, but the things they are charged for and do is part of the system. Because that's how the system maintains control, through crime and violence. So you can't escape the system and perpetuate crime and violence against your own people. :leostare:

Hiphop culture is the BIGGEST reason all black people are stereotyped:what:. Its the biggest reason blacks are judged as a group instead of individually, like every other race.
Do you think these same cacs that stereotype black people because of hiphop, aren't also stereotyping all indians, chinese people, muslims etc.?

Fuk "cacs". Hiphop culture is the main reason we stereotype OURSELVES. Its playing a large role in OUR OWN SELF-HATE and why we fear and distrust each other. THATS the biggest issue. Damn what everyone else thinks. Poisonous hiphop is helping to keep us fractured and fearing/distrusting each other instead of uniting us.

Hiphop being so proudly anti white allowing blacks to proudly maintain our own and completely different cultural identity is powerful to me,despite the drawbacks....because those drawbacks would be there without hiphop...now in 2016 as hiphop and black folks nationwide abandon hiphop as if they are too good for it,and have become whitewashed, yes hiphop has lost its power.

Everything you stated would make sense if this were still 1992...Not in 2016

What has that identity been since 1993 on a mainstream level?? Be honest....You know since 1993 its been a "proud to be a nikka" attitude...Not "proud to be a Blackman" but proud to be a nikka"....come on now be honest.......Thats what is is and you know it. Hip Hop was the first transition from where people like Malcolm X and Richard Pryor were denouncing being a nikka...and here came hip Hop to make it seem like being a nikka is cool.... Is that the kind of "cultural identity" you really wanna be alligned with??

you said it yourself white supremacy hasnt always been about destroying us,but often times trying to remake us over to fit they "white is right" standards of speech, dress, lifestyle, hobbys, mentality etc well, here we are...our own mold as you say and its what we created. Can you honestly say that you are ok with this fukked up mold that we created?...come on homie...u cant honestly say that. Look at the long term affect of it....Gwenth Paltrow thought it was cute to tweet "real nikkaz in Paris" because that song(which was made by a 40+ year old Blackman) was popular.....white folks have taken this mold we created and use it to make mockery in the form of just repeating a Hip Hop song.

It's not a rappers fault that people can't think for themselves.

well hiphop actually started out positive and it degenerated into what it is now, once corporations got a hold of it and found out how powerful NWA and gangsta rap was ....

the problem is...there isnt no balance, labels only put money behind ignorance ....

Don't blame entertainment (music, movies, video games) for any problems.
