Practically all music associated with Northern AA musical culture such as Hip Hop, House, Techno, Club music, Disco, Funk (since it’s argued it originated in Ohio), Northern Soul, GoGo (if you consider DC Northern), Minneapolis Sound, Motown, Quiet Storm, Neo Soul, New Jack Swing, etc. got roots in Southern AA musical culture.
