quick response, no copy and paste b/s...........

SO just bs?

The problem with a pod cast on certain things is "LANKS"

Hard to prove what your saying if you reference something. The beauty of text is that you can lay out an argument, support it and also dissect it.
Plus no smilies? That'll be odd.

Pod Caster: "So all life was create by God"
Pod Caster #2: " OK i don't know if it matter but i'm SOOOO doing the Kobe face right now".

The text, IMHO, is what makes it all possible.

I'd also guess there are some extremely strong personality types that would dominate a convo, at least in text some of the softer posters can get a word in edgewise.

Maybe a pod cast with a moderator like a debate type format.

THink of this. We tried setting up debates in KTL numerous times and they always fell through. (we even tried a mock government once and it turned out as you might suspect).

I can see this happening.

I think too many people are only looking at the immediate negative aspects of a podcast. I'm sure everyone here converses with various individuals on a regular basis, who don't abide by the same principles of reasoning as we do. Yet we're still able to have a consensual conservation and exchange philosophies in a civil manner.

Be against a podcast, is like not wanting to see :obama: roast Romney ( :flabbynsick: )

nah brown is right about that. Alot of nikkas feel safe with the text, but cant handle the voice. Ikillbabymamas is an example, you can get him to type but peep our podcasts and he's usually not saying shyt.

If you're on a podcast you have to continually talk and let that shyt freeflow with no pause or stutter. Alot of nikkas will feel suffocated or out of place in a situation like that. Real alpha males shine on that shyt though.

I dunno :manny: I might do it, bass-free voice and all, but I don't really have good chemistry with anyone on here.. plus not sure I want to get my life extra involved with this place like that

I think some of y'all are conceiving of this in a wrong way though, it shouldn't be a bunch of arguments, it should be more social and topical, like enjoyable to listen to

Damn I feel that's like impossible to moderate. But that's just the point of a podcast, "free-flow". Nobody is advocating that podcast will replace old fashion, typed out discussions in HL. It's just another perspective of debating, except there will probably be a lot of comical, on spot ethers. This may even draw new users to this section of the site.

Remember how it used to be mandatory for rappers to know how to freestyle. Just prove their authenticity of being lyrically gifted. Same concept...

It is what it is :manny:

I think many are apprehensive about getting into a debate or discussion without the luxury of digging up facts and arguments on the internet with no time constraints. I'm a little concerned about that myself but I'd still do it. It would be a challenge to keep my sword sharp.

I don't envision some Fox News type scream fest. Just a roundtable discussion. Who knows...maybe some posters will show some natural talent at it and it could take off as an official show that crosses over outside of the coli. We might could get our Young Turks on.

Yeah maybe. Just HL(KTL) has always been about debate, folks are painting the cast like it'll be some episode of The View.

The thing with shows like the view or even Young Turks is they are designed to give the appearance of free flow (if you believe they are then you probably believe wrestling is real too).

IF a cast goes into affect i still say it should be like a debate, maybe even give the two or three people some time to prep. Otherwise... nah fuk it i'm not going to down it anymore because MAYBE it'll work. GIve it a go try it in a few different formats and maybe we can get somethign to stick.

I'm kind of interested, but...I don't really want to go first. I'd rather wait and see how it goes and then jump in once I get a feel for it. :to:

The Young Turks is also often very one-sided, unless they have guests.

I think we should at least know the topics beforehand so we can attempt to put together some notes or whatever.

I agree that its worth a try to at least see what happens.
