Aight guys, from now on, the podcasts themselves will have individual threads dedicated to them. This thread should just be for planning and topics/participation. That's kind of why I wanted to know what the topics were ahead of time because I was going to put it in the first post of the dedicated thread. Maybe HH can PM prior to the start of the podcast.

Again, what you see isn't necessarily what IS on a national scale. I see hoodrats by the boatload on that medical assistant shyt.
:russ: Come on dawg, your an engineer right, I'm sure you'd be :upsetfavre: if someone tried to pay you $13 an hour with your max wage ceiling would be capped at 17-18 ish.

I see a lot of folks on that community college shyt. NYC just came out w/a program to help people manage the financial waters of higher education and all the ads are of blacks and Latinos. Since the country's "heyday" its a fact that black people are more involved in higher education; its kind of a given given the Civil Rights Act, affirmative action and the general national attitude towards the increasing importance of education.
I go to a CC. Not because I didn't have the grades or money to attend Coli State or any of the UC's. I just saw no point in wasting my mom's money when the first two years are essentially the same curriculum no matter where you go. Til this day I'm debt free, and don't feel like college is a scam or waste of time :manny::lolbron:

My previous rant was trying to convey, too many of us take education for granted. I'm not doubting blacks, you know attending class the first day or whatever. I'm complaining about why our people drop out like flies, towards the end of the semester. Which would render any stats about more black attending CC's useless

Can/should we do more? Of course, and thats not what I'm arguing against. TWISM argues that the country is in decline because, in part at least, minorities are dragging the country down in education. Thats wrong. Minorities are lagging, but we have come a long way, and in the case of Latinos are pretty much in lockstep with whites as far as higher education goes
No breh TWISM, is a favoritist ( made up word) for blacks taking over the word. This cat only wants the best for black people. Essentially that means, we as a whole should step our game up and strive for the better things in life :manny:

I'm somewhat at an agreement that this country won't be able to move forward until we have a completely heterogeneous society where white and black don't exist. Sohh less time will be spent of race relations and more time on the cosmos or curing cancer....

Til then, Ignorance is not an option :beli:

Bruh since the 70s its up, and I'm sure if there were data to go back further blacks in segregated schools would be even worse

Which is my whole point

I never claimed there wasnt an achievement gap.... just that since the country's time of legitimately being #1 it has closed

And that its ridiculous to assert that 28% of the country is responsible for 100% of the country's decline. Minorities were, by many metrics, way worse off than they are now, so why is it only now that our poor performance is the cause of the country's decline?

Once again, all I'm saying is that reporting from the frontline, I don't see many black students taking advantage of the potential opportunities to make it big in the U.S.

i find it sickening when people like you give black people the most awful advice, retarded advice like saying young black males should focus on skilled labor
C/S to the fullest.

It's selling our people short, by telling them they're not go enough to be full blown, professionals. :upsetfavre:

:scusthov: at these Booker T. Washington c00nS in this thread....

:scusthov at telling black people we should focus on becoming

Medical Assiants instead of doctors...

Mechanics instead automobile engineers

IT personal instead of software engineers

Plumbers instead of corporate a$$holes..

(maxing out at a 100k vs. 100 million+)

Basketball / Football Players instead of owners...

bu bu bu but they make 24 million a year and you don't

bu bu bu but that aint sh*t to the n1gga that's cutting his check, who isn't risking his life or a potential concussion :manny:

Victims instead of Victors

Nothing particuallary wrong, with the majority of these blue colar professions, except there's usually a ceiling.........

:scusthov @ any AA's being deeply in debt from Undergraduate school when programs like this exist..........

I'm giving it it's own thread starting next week for each podcast. Since it's 3 I won't.
