It picks up in the middle of the online racism vs off-line racism discussion. Im pissed to because the college talk was very good. I'll have a back up recorder going next time.
And Mook, i think my uploading bandwith is insufficient to host a skype conference and stream at the same time. Im getting my house re-wired this week and hopefully it should improve my connection, however in the meantime if you could stream for the show that would be cool.
college discussion is probably the most relavant topic. Yall def gotta talk about the college situation in another podcast

A lot of truth in podcast, people would rather stay unaware in a state of ignorance than educate themselves on the ways of society.
in some ways I don't blame when they work a 9-5, 5 days a week, and they're too tired to focus on decisions that might effect them in the long run (more taxes, government subsidies, healthy foods, medicare etc...)
It's like a culture in decline.....
People like to sh*t on education, like anything else these days (
) , it's a profitable business, but I don't see too many people doing the rather and actually going to library and reading a wide variety books.
Instead, I see people engaging in sedentary lifestyles and gossiping about: "Hip Hop & Love", American Idol, America's Top Model, Bad Girl's Club etc.....

Yeah, run back that college discussion this week. But please can we say what the topics are ahead of time. I'm trying to set up specific threads for each podcast and I'd like to put the link and the topics in the original post. That way, any discussion pertaining to the podcast would happen there. It's just better from an organizational and participation perspective. I know I'm laid back and shyt, and that this is all voluntary, but this whole "yeah these are the topics" at like 45 minutes before the podcast is about to start is really not professional or organized. There's a reason why less people were tuned into the last one than the first one.
I'm looking to get bk or brooklyn to change the announcement tab when the podcast goes live to get more attention, but if people don't know what's going to be talked about then it won't be as effective.

We talked it this last week and HH had the topics up days in advance bruh. Read the thread. We already addressed it on our own. HH is having some technical problems and that is clear. But also the podcast isn't getting much support from the board. The one last week got a positive response and I expected an even bigger buzz and participation than the pprevious one. It was announced earlier in advance than episodes 1 and 2 then Sunday 9 pm rolls around and HH, Leyet and I are the only people who bothered showing up and there was like 3 people max viewing the thread. Then everyone was like "There was a podcast last night

I do read the thread, but not every single post and I stopped reading when TWISM and dude went off on a major tangent. Thus, why every podcast will have its own thread from now on. It just looks neater. So people on the board can post in it while the discussion is going on. I'm not talking about HH's technical difficulties, that's whatever. Things happen and he doesn't have to do this. But at the very latest, shyt should be finalized on Friday afternoon (unless there's a different day for the podcast besides Sunday). (This thread is about to be renamed the planning thread). Once that happens we should confirm who will be participating, preferably that day or by Saturday morning.
At that point I would ask bk for an announcement to be put up stating the topics (on Sunday definitely, and maybe another way as well). The official thread would list the topics and who's participating. As far as hosting issues, guys I work 8:30 to 6 most days and I edit a lot of the stuff that goes up on the main page. Half the time I'm on here, I'm at work. I'm not going to see every post and like every human being, I'm not going to want to read every post. I don't really read the Conspiracy Thread for example. Just shoot me a PM and we'll look into it. Bk himself wanted to host it before. No one followed up on it.
On another note, can someone join a skype conversation and just type up responses and questions?
Because even without the mic I would show up and do that.

skype is basically a videoconferencing program that everyone has. But you don't need to do video, it can just be voice like everyone's been doing.
Ratings will pick up when it starts getting advertised. HL doesn't have enough viewers for everyone to just hop on. Plus, the signal drops a lot. I think the podcasts have been good, that's why I'm trying to get them more attention.
