That guy didn't throw as hard -- or at least didn't seem to. The movement didn't seem to really be there. Or at least for me I felt like it was easier to track the ball.

CC Sabathia came through Soundview once when I was a jit for a charity game. Threw pitches all day. The best athlete in the neighborhood was Durell but we called him Big Loop (rip.) Breh managed to actually hit one flush and hit another half an hour later though it was called foul. Park went crazy. Hate we didn't have camera phones like that back then. Shame breh wasn't focused.

I was the best baseball player in my school up until 7th grade. Took a year away to strictly focus on basketball and when I came back to baseball I was so far behind the other hitters... the learning curve gets real steep, real fast. My first love, but I ended up being way better at hoops and a below average hitter at the plate.

Dude in the video I posted above played minor league ball & he couldn’t hit 90MPH balls cleanly..
Yet dudes on here who probably didn’t play past 9th grade are “Tony Gwin at the 90MPH machines in batting cages”

If I'm in the batting cage all day long, swinging at the same pitch all day long, eventually I'll learn the timing and hit them.....
Now if you make ANY portion of this random (speed, location, etc) I'll never be able to hit anything cause I'm really not trying to play baseball.... I'm just trying to time the bat to be in a certain location at a certain time. Hell, eventually I can just hold the bat out there and tell you when and where the ball will hit. It's easy to do, but it doesn't AT ALL replicate real pitching

I remember another clip where the benches cleared when Randy threw a Slider to him high and inside and the benches cleared, no way an average person is walking up to the plate and getting a hit
