This dude is worst than the slave master. He's the slave that beats the other slaves, keeps them in order, stops any attempts at leaving the house. Whole first season, he's a huge fakkit to Spartacus. An all around dikk. He was ready to kill Spartacus for trying to leave with his girlfriend (before he saw she was wounded). He pushed Spartacus' face into the ground after he pissed on it. Yea....that fakkit. But during the rebellion, all is forgiven and he's a part of the crew

Main character gets fatally wounded, no more surviving or coming back from the brink of death. It's insulting to the audience. Killing said main character would be more powerful, then having them live despite the medical odds.
