I still haven't put my sisters through this trauma even though we've talked about getting together to watch it ever since we could. One just had her first child and with her being trapped up in their house with my niece dealing with pandemic coupled with cabin fever, I feel like it'll be awhile before they actually get to see it.I love seeing reactions from people who watched this for the first time

When I told them about Midsommar, they were curious to find out what I thought about his follow up to this movie...
During the end of life ritualistic suicide scene, I texted both of them and told them that Midsommar probably wasn't for them. The other sister doesn't do well with gratuitous blood/gore so...

I think why it sticks with so many people is the idea that the world, in particular, YOUR FAMILY has conspired against you before you were even born. That all of your family trauma and beef is the result of demonic forces manipulating you. That shyt creates an unsettling degree of paranoia and loss of control.
