Except Micah isn't a premium edge rusher. He gets almost all his stats against teams that are trash. That is why he has 1 sack in 3 playoffs games, because as soon as he plays an offensive line that isn't trash, you getting 0 sacks, 0 tackles for lost 0 forced fumbles 0's out of him across the board.
That would be like if in all of Dak's playoff games he had a grand total of 2 touchdowns.
And you are right it is insane. Every QB who isn't trash signs a bigger contract than the last one. So it should be no surprise that Dak got record money, because every decent QB before him got record money. But what nobody does is pay defensive player's north of 40 million dollars, which we are surely going to do with Micah. That is the stuff that destroys your team, when you do the thing that nobody does. Just like nobody had paid the amount of money we did for a running back, and as soon as we did Zeke got so bad his backup made the pro bowl because we had to give him the ball just that much to overcome Zeke trashness.
We about to make Micah the highest paid defensive player ever with him not even knowing how to set and edge and needing Dak to go get us damn near 40 points at home so we can scrape by the fukking Seahawks because they weren't a terrible team so there was no way on earth Micah could ever get close enough to Geno Smith until they literally brain farted and didn't block him.
The next out of the next 3 starting QB's who sign one of them is going to get more than Dak. It might just be Purdy. But when Micah signs that record setting contract it will be a record for awhile because nobody is stupid enough to pay a guy 40 million to rack up sacks against teams that don't win more than 6 games except for the Cowboys.
Washington is at least a competent team now. Watch this dude get maybe 1 sack against them in 8 quarters, where the last few years he dominated them cause they were trash.
Micah is going to make significantly more than Chris Jones and Joey Bosa, who both have more sacks in 1 quarter of a playoff game than Micah has in 3 playoff games.
Talking about low tier talking points but you mention Hurts winning a super bowl. This dude did exactly nothing all year but watch his top 5 defense dominate games and turn around and hand the ball off to Saquon. Do you know how bad our record would be if Dak couldn't throw for 3000 yards or 20 touchdowns in a season? We wouldn't win 8 games...cause you know...we didn't win 8 games.
