Dak can't carry them to wins....but the defense can't either. Like the D will play "really well" but they'll miss TO opportunities, get dumb flags etc. Even when holding a team down, they blink at some point.

Great teams that win SB's almost always have games where different people step up: QB, defense, elite gameplan etc. There's no single facet of the Cowboys INCLUDING Dak that can pull a tough playoff win out of the mud.

Dak we already know CANNOT do it but he costs too much to move...so they have to build around him.....but that requires better front-office leadership. You need a Howie Roseman-caliber person working with Will McClay, not Stephen Jones.

But if 40 is the number yall say, then 40 gon be what he gon get. Whether in Dallas or outside Dallas. The problem with the Cowboys is they wait til it gets to that top number than doing the deal when it would be cheaper. 35-36 would make him the top paid edge. Why wait til its 40?

I agree he probably would be much better as an linebacker anyways instead of being mostly an edge
