We blacks need to look up to intellectuals like scientists, philosophers, engineers, doctors, and lawyers. I would be weary if my children idolized a rapper, singer, ball player, or actor. These people are typically shills who conform to the will of their white bosses (i.e.: team owner, studio head, executive producer, etc.). Many of these rappers, actors and singers had to make extreme compromises and betray their own ideals in order to be signed onto a studio or record label (having a train run on you in a yacht by a cabal of Jewish bankers somewhere off the coast of southern France). These losers have no self-respect.

I applaud Nas for making Illmatic -- one of the greatets rap albums of all time. But when he co-signed Gwyneth Paltrow (a Jew nevertheless) saying '******' I immediately threw all of his albums in the trash. This is why you don't drop out of the 8th grade ladies and gentlemen.

Jay-Z is an unimaginative, overaged repressed fakkit who, even with the help of Viagra and Cialis, still couldn't get Beyonce pregnant. The couple had to resort getting a sperm doner from a JJ Evans stunt double.

Tyler Perry....I don't even have to say shyt about this downlow ATL 'brotha'.

These are our heroes? They don't have any self-respect and don't know any better. c00ning is at an all time high in America and we're leeting the uncle toms and racists white people get away with it. The black community is defragmented and we could never join together and be organized behind a progressive cause. But when it comes to bullshyt like All-Star Weekend or recording a fight for worldstar hip hop we're organized like a mother fukker.

What type of backwards ass logic is this.....Black lawyers and doctors aren't company men? But athletes/entertainers are?

Man get on out of here with that us against them B.S.

Viola Davis: I'll Never Play a Maid Again - UsMagazine.com

Viola Davis has been there, done that. The actress, who earned an Academy Award nomination for her role as a Southern maid in 2011's The Help, says she has no intention of playing a domestic worker ever again.

In her latest film, Beautiful Creatures, Davis plays a librarian named Amma. The character is a hybrid of two characters, a maid and librarian, who first appeared in the popular book series by authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

"I'm tired of that," Davis, 47, tells CNN of playing a housekeeper. "Me and Octavia [Spencer], Aunjanue Ellis, Roslyn Ruff -- we all played maids in The Help and it was fabulous. It's a fabulous story because we were personalized and all of those things, but I think that people need to see an African American in the 21st century integrated in the life of this town and family who's not in servitude."

Even The Help maid sees the light
But hey, blacks are working right?

I'll bite, what's the problem with the film?

shyt looks pretty good. Its the story of a free man being sold into slavery and everything that goes along with that. Its based on a True Story.

So what's the issue?

Yall been c00ning extra hard today, I glimpsed at the front page and almost logged out.

Japan, but from the 989
Well the slave movies are on the way. This actually is based off of a true story so I'll check it out. But the floodgates are open. Will we see a REAL Nat Turner movie?
