I am into Vinyl, but it's playing to an extremely niche crowd of hardcore music fans that are going to recognize first-name references to musicians from 40+ years old and enjoy sitting through musical interludes of their least mainstream B-side songs for half the show. The story isn't strong enough yet to pull in anyone else and I don't know that it will ever get there. Hopefully it does, it's got the potential, it just needs to lighten up a little bit on the "for pretentious music fans" only requirement. They shouldn't have started out there, they should've built to it gradually imo.
And $100 million
Where? I can't imagine loads of baking soda and skanky clothes are that expensive. I would say maybe it went to music royalties for all the songs they play, but a lot of this stuff is really old and I would think it's in the public domain at this point. That number is insane for what I watched.
