Thats subjective....but collectively we are living in dysfunction and simple things like building wealth and creating stable families become harder when you have large portion of the women in your community looking at you with contempt, overtly or behind closed doors.

These are women who chose poorly and are taking out their anguish on the larger group, this isn't to say that they don't make very valid points from time to time but the source of their contempt isn't what they think it is, the root of the problem is their poor decision making skills in choosing a partner.

That's the product of a hurt mother, raising a hurt son who is following in the footsteps of his missing father. The father could be missing because he's just a bum or the mother pushed him out. BOTH mom and dad are the issue and they go on to hurt other people and it's a dangerous cycle. The problem with us as blacks is that we have a small population that is causing the greatest impact. We have issues with each other that we can't continue to ignore, but yet we still ignore them. "Don't say this in front of white people", but meanwhile those same white people that control the media have the whole world basing their opinions on us as a whole using that small group. We need to start putting this shyt out in the open...both men and women.

Now that we know that both parents are at fault let's focus on solutions like making sure these sons have good role models so they dont become like their dad. Let good black men have some representation instead of just rappers.

I can assure you that making sons feel like trash because of the actions of others is not a solution.

Now that we know that both parents are at fault let's focus on solutions like making sure these sons have role models so they dont become like their dad.

I can assure you that making them feel like trash because of the actions of others is not a solution.

It sounds good but the "solutions" always put the biggest burden on the mother, imo. You're expecting the mother to get on point emotionally while she's still taking on the roles of both mom and dad. Where in the solution are black men asked to step up and be the fathers their children need them to be? I always hear "Well you knew how he was" Or "He's a bum what do you expect?", why can't we say it's NOT ok to be a bum, YOU will be rejected from society.
