Yeah dudes are contradicting themselves without realizing it.

By sales and charts, Drake rise and peak put him as one of the top selling/most popular acts in music, and rappers. That didnt mean that he was the best rapper. And I'm sure that people laughed at those who crowned him that for those reasons.

But in 2025, those same people crown this as the best diss records based on................sales and charts.
Has nothing to do with sales and charts. it's about the IMPACT these words and the song had.

The impact it had on the culture, in the world, and on his fukking opponent. This shyt even got your grandma to crip walk and call Drake a sexual predator.

Somewhere tropic...
Disagree, NLU is a better track objectively. Even putting all the other stuff aside (sales, impact, records,...), Not Like Us is a superior song. But I agree that these are 2 different kind of rap songs, so I can see why someone would enjoy euphoria more.
Euphoria viciously eviscerated him
NLU was on some victory lap, laughing at him shyt
and of course NLU is the more commercially successful track

That would mean the song made more impact

It’s hard for it not to. The entire climate is different. It’s as dumb as people comparing his SB viewership to MJ’s like anyone with a functioning brain knows if MJ had the resources we have now it would literally not be close. Let’s put it in perspective. There’s literally 100 million more people in this country now than there was in 1993. Now let’s factor in the fact that u HAD to be at the house and watch the Super Bowl from ur TV. Now there’s many ways to watch. From laptops to tablets to phones. nikkas got apps and streaming. shyt just ain’t even close to the same. So why compare?

also impact has nothing to do with quality

This is definitely not true. You can't have the level of impact NLU did without the quality. The quality is what made it an instant classic. The chorus is brilliant. The lyrics and bridges are infectious. From beginning to end it's a song writing masterpiece. It's not even something that can be debated. Ether is a classic hip hop song. Not Like Us transcended hip hop. It captivated the entire world the day it dropped and almost one year later it's still top 3 on the charts.

I understand many people have a sentimental connection with Ether. But Not Like Us is better in every way.

Agreed

No Vaseline, Ether, Hit Em Up had no where near the GLOBAL impact of NLU. That isn't debatable. The PLANET teasing this man being a pdf is :dead:
U literally can’t compare that. Those songs didn’t even have the same resources or backing. So are we talking about the BEST diss track or the biggest one? Cause there’s a difference. A clear one.

When we look back in 10 years I bet Drake suing is the most talked about thing and not the PDF stuff.

We‘ll say it was such a force of nature that Drake landed the biggest blow, Ethering himself.

Well think it was such a force of nature that Drake landed the biggest blow. Ethered himself.
nikkas don’t even remember Jay Z wanting to actually fight Nas and set up a boxing match. U underestimate peoples attention spans.
