If your judging by amount of artistic references I'm sure NLU would surpass any other diss simply cause it's a bigger hit.

Theres only a discussion if we are talking about music wise, not impact. Like lyrics/delivery/production. There was probably more passion in Hit Em Up, Ether as well. But in terms of song impact? Obviously NLU surpassed everythibf

And again, "Back To Back" is a bigger hit than "Ether", "No Vaseline" and "Hit Em Up". Are we putting that song above those records becausre it crossed over, charted higher and was played in spaces where those records never reached?

Honestly, I don't care about charts. NLU is the most impactful diss track, thats for sure, but what makes it the goat to me is how well writen and how damaging it is. This, in objectively, is the definition of a perfect track.

Moreso, it is a better overall song. Beyond a diss song, it was meant to be a banger. The songs it is being compared to, not so much except "Hit Em Up" and even then "Hit Em Up" is a parody of Junior M.A.F.I.A's "Get Money".

Miller said something interesting about this, this is the first time in history we have a clear consensus on a rap song being the goat one.

Kendrick really pushing bondaries, and to think he initially dropped NLU without label backing, for free, and shyt became a smash hit before any industry push :whew:
Booth done lost its collective mind with this Kendrick glazing

Just caught my mom watching lyric breakdown videos of Not Like Us.

Yeah Not Like Us is officially the greatest diss record of all time. That solidified it for me.

Impact sure. Influence maybe. Time will tell.

But i hate the beat. The whole bounce is wack to me. If it was either beat from TV Off then most def.

I respect what it did. The levels it reached. But i still hold other disses better.
