Might rile up my fellow Nas fans here but Ether isn't even a top 50 Nas song for me. Great diss record, just personally not my favorite song from him.

Not Like Us is easily a top 10 Kendrick song. EASILY.

Also gotta keep it real, although Jay lost the battle, he did come back after Ether. No Vaseline and Hit Em up are just as scathing, but Big came back with LAD and Dre's biggest succeses were right after No Vaseline. Even Eazy came back to an extent. But I dunno if Drake is ever washing that stink off him.

The only thing that would have me still put Hit Em Up over Not Like Us is Pac's conviction on that song is something else.

Kendrick wasn't coming off a down period in his career like Nas so its harder to compare. Nas was down for the count after Takeover and Ether resurrected him in the eyes of the public and took out Jay. MTG is probably the first track that made me go since I heard Ether (even more than Story of Adidon). I'd still put NLU in the top 5.


That lawsuit says more about Drake being a hoe than the track, if he was gonna take Kenny to court it should've been over Meet The Grahams, the man went after your whole damn family with surgical precision

Like I said. When nikkas say it’s crazy Drake sued UMG and saying no one reacted like Drake to a battle. I’m like Jay cried on the radio, stopped speaking to friends for over a decade for saying they liked Ether behind the scenes, and wanted to box Nas just cause people was screaming “fukk Jay Z” when he was walking down the street. Imagine if Jay had to deal with people calling him a Pedo and that shyt being performed at Superbowls n shyt. I’m not sure Jay would’ve sued but that nikka would’ve prolly tried to get Nas shot or some shyt. lol. nikka would’ve completely crashed out.

It was more of him trying to really bury Jay but crash out nonetheless. Either way nikkas mad at how Drake is handling it but literally NO rapper has had to handle what he’s handling and on this level. I think most rappers from the past would’ve prolly tried to get rid of Kendrick on some street shyt. Lol
