The Gift..... yes I remember that movie now. Didnt really think he was all that different in that..... maybe less "quipy" but the tone of that movie was different. He always kinda plays to a degree a "dikkish" character. Didnt see him any less than he normally is.

Bad words is definitely different for him as is smoking aces and the kingdom. I'd even say Michael is different for him because he's not an a$$hole. He's genuinely a good dude (for the most part) trying to deal with his insane family. The humor is the same but micheal bluth is a different type of cat compared to the others.

Also the movie isn't that great but he's different in identity thief and in change up he gets to play Ryan Reynolds

I think it's typecasting but that's me and also knowing that execs ask for specific types for roles and that's what you get.
