Good trade for OKC. Good amount of upside although I'm not expecting as much out of Martin and Lamb this season as some people expect in this thread.
I do think it makes the Thunder a little weaker in the short-term. They still have enough firepower to get to the Finals.
As for the Rockets, they've been watching too much Moneyball.

Well I mean I feel like being a superstar in your prime should automatically get you a max deal...Melo pulls in tons of revenue for the Knicks...and Rondo's next deal will be maxed the fukk out and he deserves it being arguably the best PG in the game, it's like having a Peyton Manning on your squad... His PG IQ is rare as hell these days...

Keep in mind how strong the Knicks brand is....They're financially successful even when they're a lottery team.
Melo has proven himself NOT to be worth a Max deal IMO.
He's a star player who's been getting superstar billing for far too long. And I say this as someone that's a bit of Melo fan.
