I Wouldnt Be Surprised If OKC Starts Off A Lil Shaky And People Jump Out Of Windows Saying Trading Harden Was The Biggest Mistake Ever And They're Done

Then They'll Pick Right Back Up And No One Will Say Anything About The Trade

They offered him around 13 million a year and he turned it down

Apparently they wouldn't or couldn't pay him more

So they get a year outta Martin and hoping lamb can fill in long term

:snoop: Why this nikka on some Ben Gordon status? He finna fade into obscurity in Houston along with Kyle Lowry and Luis Scola. 13M a year and you get to stay on a top 5 team with the youngest championship contender core in the L? Just dumb.

Option A

- $54 million, 4 years
-contending for a title in OKC
- playing with Durant and Westbrook

Option B

-$60 million, 4 years
-contending for 8th seed in Houston
-playing with Lin and Asik

He's leaving a championship contender with a crazy fanbase that absolutely LOVES him. he was a cult hero in okc. now he has to go to houston with a ton of pressure on him to perform for a team that's an 8th seed darkhorse. all for an extra $1.5 million a year? the dude fcuked up

6 million is a lot of money....and maybe dude was tired of being the 3rd option...

Neither are on the Rockets

:comeon: you know what I meant nikka. Kevin Martin was the toast of Sacramento, then he went to Houston, and faded into the shadows. A player should do everything he can to stay on a winning team, ESPECIALLY a team that can win championships. 13 milly at that? I hope the extra 2-3M he got from Houston will be worth it. :jawalrus:

So even after giving Harden the max we can still offer another max contract. But who the fukk is going to want to play for the Rockets?

There's 3 Guys In The League Worth Max Right Now, LeBron, KD, & Dwight

No One Else Outside That Deserves Max Money, Might As Well Try And Sign 2 Decent Guys

Kobe is a max guy for the Lakers considering what he's worth to that franchise. Probably D Rose also

I Dont Think Kobe Is Worth Max To Any Other Team, But I'll Agree That He's Worth Max To Keep Him A Laker

I'll Agree With D Rose Too

If Kobe were to resign a contract right now he wouldn't be worth the Max...

He was obviously worth his last contract though.

nikkas keep saying "only 6 million", if it's only that little that why not Thunder pay the extra 6 milli

and if it's only 6 milli, ask yourself this, how much you making every year?

People are also ignoring how harsh the new luxury tax is gonna be.....

The Lakers and Knicks are easily the two most profitable teams in the league and even they're mindful of it. OKC HAS to avoid being in cap hell. It could cripple their business.

Imagine asking an all star caliber player to take less than his market value and come off the bench for most of his prime years.

These are his golden years. This 10 year period is where he's going to make most of the money in his life. After that, it's downhill for most NBA players and those extra millions you fought for when you were younger, starts becoming a big deal. I can't blame Harden.

Houston may not win a title anytime soon, but they are a young team with a lot of assets and flexibility. They will improve a lot more in the future.
