He was looking for them but I'm sure he feels some type of anger towards that family after being shot and set on fire by them.
Corey was in a relationship with the granddaughter so that would make it them easy targets

An abominationIt really kills me to see Jamie Lee Curtis exert so much enthusiasm into these projects and then witness her subjected to some of the most cringe dialogue ever.
“—rip off your shirt and show grief your fukking t*ts and say, "You know what? Let's go!””
General consensus within the horror community is that this is one of the best years in a min for the genre.Shidddddddddd. That ain't been da case for some years now.
In this trilogy since he’s no longer her brother there should be no reason to tether them together but of course you can’t have that play out because there would be no way to have 3 movies worth of content with these two characters only tangentially existing in each others space …this fundamental plot hole is why carpenter didn’t want to make a part 2 in the first place without them being related and now we see why … if MM doesn’t have tht connective motivator you have to create some nonsensical reason (Corey) to force them into the same space to create that conflict …what a stupid ass decisionWhich makes no sense cause he always seems to do exactly that, look for Laurie.

It’s incredible how with just a minute amount of scrutiny this dumb ass trilogy falls completely on its face
CONSIDERING MM KILLED
LAURIES DAUGHTER AT THE END
OF KILLS, SHE HAVE BECOME
MORE OBSESSED WITH MM
AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOOKING
FOR HIM FOR THE PAST 4 YRS
WHILE HE ON THE OTHER HAND
DOESNT KNOW WTF SHE IS.
My boy Mike was a father figure in this shytMovie was trash
They was having Michael Myers on some Buddy cop shyt
if you need simple things spelled out for you then that's on you, breh
JUST KILL YASELF
If you have to make up nonsensical filler to cover the groundwork left by overwhelming plot holes and lapses in canon continuity that says a lot about your tasteif you need simple things spelled out for you then that's on you, breh
considering the fact that they supposedly made it canon in this trilogy that Mike doesn’t care about Laurie ..why was he stalking her outside by the tree when she pulled up
There's no way I'm watching this shyt and ruining my 30 day Halloween marathon. The previews look just as bad as the last film. I'd rather watch Get Out with the Baltimore symphony instead.
This is exactly what I said about 2018 and why I thought it was so mid …the whole movie was nonstop call backs to prior films in the franchise that supposedly “never happened” according to the established narrative of this timeline …it was like a compilation album of Halloweens greatest moments sprinkled with the big reveal that Mike and Laurie aren’t related and Laurie’s gone Bear Gryll’s on usThat's why these new movies were dumb.
Michael apparently doesn't care about Laurie or want revenge in these new flicks yet still stalks her,her family and repeatedly tries to kill her.
The director tried to act like Michael and Laurie being siblings was a dumb thing and what they did here was better when in reality the sibling angle is the only non contrived reason to have Michael constantly engage Laurie and have Jamie Lee Curtis repeatedly in these movies.
Then you get how they treated Michael Myers. He only killed three people in the fist flick on Halloween, yet they built him up like they were including what he did in the original sequels where he went multiple killing sprees/rampages
When you look back on this trilogy, they were really just quasi remakes of Halloween 4, 5 and 6. And those movies WERE BETTER.
If you add up narrative redundancies and flashbacks to both Halloween (1978) and Halloween (2018), there’s shockingly little present-tense storytelling.
