Also most of Myers kills had more skill than both Jasons and Freddy. Jason kills in the later movies were just silly.

Halloween does not shyt on nightmare, I give it props of course but it's fairly mundane and without that theme music it's not as heralded. Major props to carpenter for inventing that theme, shyt may be better than the actual film.I'm saying. I don't even know how the argument got to 9 pages
I think it does breh. That's not to say nightmare isn't great because it is but I feel like Halloween is the best made of the three and has a simplicity about it that really works. Of course the music helps a lot, a whole lot, but I think it just adds to the tension that's already there

It's funny I was watching that doc on it and when they screened the film, they all thought it was boring. Once Carpenter created the score, the movie by their standards was enjoyable. I say most of Halloween sucess is that score. It builds the tension. Classic film and yes it may be better than nightmare...maybe..but it does not shyt on it. Nighmare is its own animal and more creative than 90% of all horror movies.

started watching all the NoES & Friday the 13th movies because of this thread and i must say most of them are pretty damn garbage 
....i've seen 7 friday the 13th flicks so far and i only like 2 (the first and the fourth or whichever one was with corey feldman) the one with the two protagonist was solid too tho but the rest were ass 
....watched 4 NoES's so far and i only really like one tbh and its not the original 
actually think dream warriors is the best one and the 2nd one is the worse cuz of all the gay shyt....i was surprised by how little nudity was in the elm street flicks too 
but they'd spank a man's bare ass to death in the 2nd one no problem 
...imma continue watching them but so far halloween is like leaps and bounds better

Michael Myers is the scariest out of the three because his story seemed the most realistic. The Halloween franchise with the exception of the third movie, has stuck pretty close to the story line and theme of the original film. Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street started out pretty good, but they eventually became gore fests and borderline goofy.
Watched the same doc breh and know the whole history of how the music is scarier than the movie to a lot of people but i believe they all work in concert together. But again that's why I took back the statement of agreeing with him that it shyts on everything because nightmare is a great film but its better than it to me. I will say the nightmare series overall has the better movies though. Well then again, maybe not. To me, there are three legitimately good nightmare movies and maybe three legitimately good halloween flicks
Is that the one without Myers?If Halloween 3 wasnt called Halloween 3 it would be looked at as more a more bomb movie. Storylibe was bomb, dope co lead bytch and a ill creepy tune heard throughout the movie. Its actually one of my fav horror movies
