There is nothing stopping a bunch of super-stars and one owner to agree on creating a dynasty. They are all going to have to take a collective pay cut to keep everyone under the salary cap in order to achieve the goal of making it to the Finals every year.

Great insight Bilz, another segue to throw mud on Kobe. I bet you also feel Kobe's back to back championship team was stacked too huh? The Big 3 of Kobe, Pau and Fish.

Kobe's "Superteam" came via trades, not players leaving to join. Nash, Dwight and Pau didn't all say "hey let's leave our teams and go to LA and play with Kobe." So he can embrace the Superteam method.

he's already said pau contributed more to those titles than kobe contributed with shaq:whoo:

So we just gon overlook a possible top 7 SG and HOF in Clyde Drexler going to houston and helping the Dream win a ship while averaging 20 and 7 while Hakeem was somewhat in his prime? We gon ignore thie lil "super" team right here right?

Old players and their hypocrisy I swear

:what: Drexler didn't even make the allstar team that year. Dream is the only player to win championships without any of his teammates being allstars in that year

Like Dream didn't think he was making a "Superteam" when Pippen and Chuck came into Houston... :mjpls:

Neither Barkley or Pippen was allstar talent when they came to Houston. As matter of fact, neither player made the allstar team again since coming to Houston

Clyde was the second best player on that Rockets squad during that playoff run to the championship.

:stopitslime:Ok but he wasn't an allstar player. So how can you be a lil superteam with only one allstar player?

Dog...in that game, Clyde had 21 by the 3rd quarter of the game I just linked.

All star status aside, during those playoffs, Clyde was playing back to his All Star form. He averaged 20.5 ppg, 7rbs and 5 assists per game during the playoffs.

They needed it too.

Rockets turned down the Blazers offer which was 2nd pick + Clyde for Sampson.

They could have taken Jordan or Chuck second :mindblown:

Jordan and Akeem woulda fought.... Akeem was quick to throw hands

How Can You NOT Be A Super Team With 3 Hall Of Famers Who Were Of The Top 50 Players In NBA History (Up To That Point) That Have 33 All Star Appearances Between Them? You Act Like They Were Kendall Gill And Horace Grant lol

:facepalm:they were no longer a HOF talent or even an allstar talent. You can't be a superteam if the players involved are not a super talent

:beli:breh are you talking about the same series that Hakeem averaged 35.3 pts and 12.5 rebs? It didn't matter who he played with that year in the playoffs. Maybe he played good because Hakeem was abusing everybody they put in front of him

What does Hakeem's stats have to do with it? He NEEDED Clyde to play at the All Star level he played at in order for them to make it to the ship.

I don't see how it changes Clyde playing at an all star level in the playoffs.

Barkley As A Rocket 16.2 Points 11.9 Rebs

Bosh As A Heat 18.3 Points 8.1 Rebs

Barkey Averaged 19 And 13 When He 1st Joined Houston

But Hey It Was The Same As Keeping Robert Horry Around Right? I Mean He Wasnt An All Star That Year Either :heh:
