but don't we all love seeing franchise players succeed and carry a team to a title....or try to at least? That's what the games missing. Rose might be the only one left, and he's not in a position to win anytime soon.

What franchise players havent tried?

LeBron - tried
Wade - carried team to title
Dwight - tried
Carmelo - :pachaha:

Other guys like the Durants, Duncans, and Hobe's of the world are blessed to be in a situation where they are drafted to stacked teams or teams with alot of young talent. And lets not act like just because you play with other all-star players you still cant be the catalyst to carry that team to a title.

he aint right either. it's not the league's job to make sure every team has the opportunity to get a superstar. There's only 4 or 5 superstars in the game

Oh of course not. There's really not much the league can do to fix it other than to downsize their league but that won't happen (or to stack teams in similar markets).

Lebron didn't try long enough. but can't hate on him.
Wade :win:
Dwight didn't try at all. They still could've built a nice championship caliber team around him.
Carmelo is Carmelo :pachaha: but he might just mess around and lead NY to a title before he retires.

If Kobe doesn't retire with at least six, I'll agree. :mjpls:

Didnt try enough :what:

You dont play this game forever. 7 years is plenty of time to bring in championship pieces, as far as I'm concerned if you refusing to give up JJ Hickson for a prime Amare you dont deserve a superstar. Those who dont learn from history are destined to repeat it. How long does Chicago really think Rose is gonna sit idle getting bounced in the Semi's the next 3 years with Deng, Noah, and Vladimir Radmanovich as his running mates :usure:

Here's the thing though.

Let's use the typical situation.

8 years. The first 3 years you're trying to rebuild the entire thing from scratch. By the time 4 and 5 come around, you're taking your playoff lumps. You're really giving yourself 3 years to win it all, and that's with a superstar not yet in his prime and with all the pressure in the world to make short sighted decisions that can hurt you later just to keep said superstar there. there are teams that always have to deal with that. There are others, notably big market teams, where none of this applies.

And all of this is contingent on every move you make panning out.

I am glad that it wasn't the "I wouldn't have played with such and such" bs that we've seen from other guys. It was moreso about bemoaning the fate of the have-nots and the teams in the middle. It's a valid point but it's moreso and issue of expansion than stars chosing to play together.

So we just gon overlook a possible top 7 SG and HOF in Clyde Drexler going to houston and helping the Dream win a ship while averaging 20 and 7 while Hakeem was somewhat in his prime? We gon ignore thie lil "super" team right here right?

Old players and their hypocrisy I swear
