Haitian Appreciation Thread

If they born up here or been up here for a while maybe. Haiti born Haitians tend to stick with their own but the ones that grow up here dabble with others.

For real? I found it to be the other way around. US born light skin Haitians seemed to be uppity.

Might just be my family but my mother and aunts never pushed that birds of a feather mentality.

Idk I don't really notice that well from my observations. The U.S. born haitians that are Americanized blend in easily with other black people. I still to this day be surprised at people I didn't know was Haitian.

That's odd. I can spot US born Haitians easy. They have problems spotting me though, I usually get the "Are you Jamaican?" from fellow Haitians

It's something so warming when I see a banging haitian chick speaking Creole.

I remember in HS this new girl came to my class and she had a FATTY. I didn't know who she was but anyway my mother's friend kept asking me do I know her daughter named such and such.

I didn't and I was just trying to look for a girl who looks like the mom but one day the girl Mom brought me to her house to fill out a college app and when her daughter came home it was that SAME girl from my class.

See I havent tried to speak creole seriously in years. Last time I was with the family in Philly and tried speak everybody got quiet and gave me the real life KRS
