I'm still confused. I've never in my life heard Jamaicans look down on rastas. Not in Jamaica or in NY.

Christians look down on them that's known ask a true dread or ur parents ...as a matter a fact what the marley documentary on Netflix and they go into it... Since the 30s when the culture was founded people look down ..almost like a black in America... It's there struggle.. They are known as no good ganja smokers Etc..I know this I am living it ..

Trust me I frequent trinidad and I tell people there I see more Rastas than Jamaica.. And they tell me there the dreads r frowned upon.. My boy in trinidad who has dreadlocks.. Not even a Rastafarian tells me his struggles just because the misconception and prejudice

Yep, the ignorant ass Jamaicans do look down on Rastafarians and have even persecuted them in the past. The same ignorant ass Jamaicans who thank their white god that the earthquake didn't hit the island but hit Haiti instead. I don't have the time to get into it now, but they have a lot to thank the Rastafari movement for. A lot.

Listen I am not trying to cause a debate though just trying to enlighten you.. That's why I said if ur dad was a ras back when he lived there ask.. Even if he wasnt ask I am sure he will let you know, just do some more research on the history and you will see where I am coming from,l... Personally I don't judge a man by his beliefs..
