yeah it's weird how so many in the diaspora cling tight Ethiopia and Egypt with, when
Africans all over Africa pay homage to Songhai, Sudan/Nubia, and Kingdom of Congo.

Sudan and Nubia were older than Egypt and the people were dark skin, but the dudes who always
greet people with hotep everyday have grip to Egypt and Ethiopia like their dna points there.

Gotta laugh at those nikkas

That's because eqypt was really the first civilization that was polished on a higher level when it flourished..everything from the philosophy, metaphysics, architecture, agriculture, science etc..is unfukkwithable...that's why..

:dead: This is a continuation series of how black people, particularly descendants of West Africans continuously fawn over Eritreans, Ethiopians, Egyptians, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Brazilians etc etc. Why none of these people ever laud the achievements of western africa. Why travel to Ghana, Mail, Senegal, Nigeria is never spoke about or even considered is telling.

Anyways I came across this piece about Hailie Selassie. I don't know much about Rastafarian culture but why do Jamaicans praise this man who was racist? :what: Like what significance does he have to Rastas/Jamaican culture?

Why did a man who looked like this

marcus-garvey.jpg

tell his people to follow this

haile_selassie_mil_12312321.jpg

Marcus Garvey preached his concept of Ethiopianism to attentive audiences in Jamaica through out the early nineteen hundreds. His idea of Ethiopianism was a Back-To-Africa movement, calling black men and women to their native land. Before his departure to spread his word in America, Marcus Garvey left his Jamaican followers with the words:"Look to Africa for the crowning of a Black King; he shall be the Redeemer"(BARRETT 8 1).

:mindblown:

:what: Marcus Garvey didn't tell people to follow Haile Selassie.

Breh, I'm Jamaican too but the last time I went back to yard was 06, but when did Rasta's get looked down on in Jamaica? I ain't never heard of no Jamaican's trying to shyt on a rasta.
:duck:This is not true at all. How do you think they got the name "Dread-locks"? It was not a term of love to call someone dreadful. Things are cool now, but some of my Uncles are Rasta, and they told me how they would be discriminated against and locked up for anything even their shoes. Ask an old christian jamaican lady how she feels about Rastas, and it wont be anything nice trust me.

No it wasn't, the real reason is you guys just don't like being affiliated with your ancestors(the ones in your more recent dna) or the Africans from the upper Nile that birthed the 2nd hand Kingdom you bow down to. The self hatred is still evident. White man holds something in high regard and you all thirst for it like he has golden touch.

Center self, inner self
Threadstarter is trolling. Tons of black Americans travel to West Africa. The "door of no return" attracts tons of black American tourism in Senegal and similar attractions in Ghana. In the civil rights era plenty also lived in West Africa. W.E.B Du Bois died in Ghana, Maya Angelou lived there for a significant amount of time etc.

What's the door of no return? :dwillhuh:

who produced that video? you have to understand the psyops taking place against our people, by forces that stand to gain if they can divide black people from one another. somalis are black like us, and it is not beneficial to our struggle to simply accept a generalization about how somalis feel towards other africans. they are black like us and we need to treat them as such. i have somali friends and they are all very good people who have never shown an ounce of self-hate.
