As long as she's writing then that's good. She should be fully reliable on her own skills though. That's how a complete artist develops.

She also had performed “Something to Prove” during the 2014 BET Awards but for whatever reason, trifling ass BET cut to commercial for the viewing audience almost halfway into her performance which still irks me to this day

But yeah, HER is far from a “plant” no matter how much these hating ass bammas be trynna say

But it’s totally fair for people to feel like H.E.R. Is getting shoved down fans throats through label politics

I’d argue no one has been more awarded and nominated than her for so little impact in the culture

I'm counting this as her third album since she packaged up them EPs into full releases twice before.

This ain't as good at those two, but it's still near them. Not ground breaking, not a classic, but a solid contemporary R&B joint. Future is bright for her.

I don't no if I'd say she's had little impact on culture. I wouldn't say she was huge culturally either, but she's an artist who has definitely made her mark. There's a lot of artists who get awarded and nominated that aren't as talented as she is. She stands out from everybody else. It's kind of how I look at Janelle Monae and people asked how she was getting all those looks. She got labeled a plant and people didn't understand or see the grind, so they assumed she was some manufactured artist.
