ELIZABETH OLSEN UP FOR FEMALE LEAD IN KING ARTHUR
From Godzilla to Guinevere?
28 AUG 2014 BY JIM VEJVODA
Godzilla and Oldboy actress Elizabeth Olsen is reportedly circling director Guy Ritchie's King Arthur movie.
Variety says Olsen -- soon to be seen as Scarlet Witch in Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron -- "is the frontrunner for the female lead." Curiously, they don't say whether or not that character is Queen Guinevere.
Charlie Hunnam is in line to play the title role and Idris Elba is on board to play a Merlin-like mentor to Arthur. The trade reveals that Superman star Henry Cavill also read for the role of King Arthur.
