The real reasons Somalis were never slaves.

With all due respect to Somalis, I'm tired of this nonsense mentality some posters here have where they insult my people for being slaves and try to claim that the reason they were never slaves is because they were strong, fierce and united. It's time someone was honest about this and that person will have to be me. So, the real reasons Somalis were never slaves are simple.
a) Location. Somalis seem to forget that slavery was an actual business. It did not start out with racism. There were white slaves in North America and native slaves too. With that in mind, what sensible business man would travel to Somalia, bring slaves across the African continent to the west coast of Africa and them ship them to the West. That would be a waste of food, water, energy and other resources. There is a reason why the vast majority of slaves in the Americans came from African nations whose coast touched the Atlantic ocean. It made the most business sense.
b) Religion: Some might say that Somalis were never enslaved by Arabs. The reason for this is religion. Somalis were some of the first Africans to be exposed to and convert to Islam because of how close they were to Arab nations. In Islam, a muslim cannot enslave another muslim.
Instead, Somalia allied with other muslim nations, particularly against other Africans. Somalis helped transport black African slaves (who were obviously not muslims) into the Arab world.
Now, people are going to try and keep the strong Somali myth going but take a look at history. During the time of the transatlantic slave trade, what war was Somalia fighting against Europeans to stop from being taken as slaves? None. What major was was Somalia fighting against the Arabs to stop from being taken as slaves ? None. They didn't fight their way out of slavery. No one tried to make them slaves to begin with. They were allies with Arab nations and Europeans did not take an interest in Somalia until the late 1800s, after slavery was over. Like I said, it's about time somebody dropped some honesty around here. You can thank me later.
