Compared to at least 20 other rappers. He wasn't even top 20 hottest how he supposed to be hottest. I don't give a fukk if you are hot or not, if I like your music I like it. The clubs were not playing him, his mixtapes were not downloaded, he had a small circle of followers compared to 09 where it probably grew by 10000%. In the end of 08 was when he started buzzing, lol @ taking over ATL rap scene. in 06/07, that was when he became known to anyone at all beyond being the guy who Jeezy allegedly sent someone to have him got and in fired back and offed a dude.

Gucci and Jeezy get compared because they come from the exact same sub-genre/movement/regional scene in rap...you're very obviously not an actual fan of that rap scene, but just a very big Jeezy fanatic and thus fall very squarely into category 2...so your stance is understood...but Gucci being better than Jeezy has been popular opinion among people that actually now that they're talking about since Gucci took over the ATL trap rap scene way back in '06, '07...don't know what you're considering "credible music fans", but I'm assuming you mean dikkriding ass critics or bloggers or something...Gucci never permeated on a mainstream level like that, and don't have songs with Jay-Z and shyt...so there's a perception difference by outsiders...but it's whatever...on even just a technical rap nerd level, Gucci is just flat out better than jeezy

Coming from and living in are two different things, Gucci doesn't live in the hood does he? .

I don't really care what's good in the streets in 2012, I did when I was younger.

1. Every rapper who isn't buzzing on the internet in 2012 is not buzzing, it's not 05 anymore.
2. I think it's extremely corny to be on the internet and preach street shyt, it's like being at micky ds preaching a healthy lifestyle.

Everyone is stating opinions, in my opinion that's not a buzz. That was a minor buzz. I don't know what you dudes consider killing the streets, but what jeezy was doing before he got locked up Q4 08 was not killing the streets. It was light work compared to the dudes that actually were killing the streets whether it was via street, indie or commercial grind.
