Why do 6 out of the top 10 countries with the highest standard of living apply socialism in many of the sectors of their economy?

If you extend the list out to the top 25. then over a 75% of the countries practice socialism.

I believe in Socialism and Capitalism, equally. Only the people who think unchecked Capitalism or Socialism, do I have any objections to.
And Capitalism does it via abuse of the free market. Any pure ideology is doomed to fail. We live in times were we see proof of this.

The reason many call for extreme degrees of capitalism(pure or near pure) is to combat societies natural slide towards socialism. The further we start from it the more time we have...
One main reason why capitalism can't continue to work is because technology/automation is replacing jobs. No need to hire people when machines do the work. We are at the beginning of our transition to a post-capitalism society, and we will probably have an intermediate stage of socialism to get us there. Switzerland will be ahead of the game if they implement a basic guaranteed income system.
Our current system is a colossal clusterfvck. Marketing aka propaganda convinces people that in order to be happy they need to become perpetual consumers of whatever nonsense our economy produces. Gadgets, accessories, endless beauty products and services, endless addictive food choices, constant new cars, constant new clothes, unnecessary prescription drugs, unnecessary overly spacious houses, misc gizmos, etc. If you don't purchase pointless trash, the system is designed to make you feel uncool, unattractive, and overall miserable. That way you'll go out and get a pointless job or you'll start a company where you will market your pointless goods or services in order to make money to go out and buy pointless goods and services in an attempt to make yourself happy. That's our economic system in a nutshell.

We producing things, with no real inherent value, just to produce them. We consume just to consume. This has averse affects on things that every human should have rights to, regardless of socio-economic status.
