All of the country/mountain shyt in San Andreas was pure filler and once you passed the story missions for those locations you had no reason to ever visit them again.

incorrect

the country side had the big mountain were you could do bike races , the country side also had its own life, the civilians and hill billies would do and say weird shyt

dont forget the random planes that would fall down and crash

Vice City >>>> San Andreas because it was far better structured. All of the country/mountain shyt in San Andreas was pure filler and once you passed the story missions for those locations you had no reason to ever visit them again. Also, in Vice City you really felt that vibe of taking over the whole city a la Scarface, although the turf war stuff was cool SA could never capture that feeling of you becoming the most powerful man in the state.

Pretty much how I feel about it. It's already difficult to try and match the whole Scarface angle , but the city felt more alive than SA. Andreas really didn't offer anything when it comes to the atmosphere, however wonderful the missions where, I never really cared for the locales.

:ohhh: I aint know that
:ohhh:

If you run out of money at the casino you can keep playing but will go into the negatives ie owing the casino money.

I used to stay losing everything and I couldn't remember the cheats at the time for more $$$ or weapons so I literally had to run from them. :russ:

I couldn't stand doing missions at that abandoned airport.......

I got lucky the first time I played SA and I beat that mimi airplay mission on my second try
but after that it took me about a good 50 times to beat the mission every other time i played the game.. lol

San Andreas had the best story mode, G.O.A.T. cheat codes, you could customize the most with the clothing/haircuts/tattoos, nice sized map with even Vegas and San Francisco included, G.O.A.T. soundtrack. It's the best in the series for me...

However, this shyt right here is second and severely underrated probably because it was a short DLC...

It's amazing to me that the series seems to be devolving.

It peaked with sa and has since been getting worse and worse while they strip features.

But keeps selling more and more.

GTA4 was the only time I felt it was devolving. I understood the hype mainly because it was in "New York" and people were clamoring to play the next installment. But not many missions were memorable, the rags to better rags narrative was lame, and almost everything from guns to vehicles were toned down. The PC made it flourish, but as a console game, complete disappointment...till TBGT DLC.

GTA5 is the GOAT without question. Besides PC making it a young god, three solid characters with abilities, a great narrative, and epic missions. It incorporates all the good things from TBOGT, and adds a new PoV with character switching. I don't really include music as PC - Custom Soundtrack, but they have a very diverse select of songs.

I can understand how after playing GTA4 you would steer away but GTA5 handles all previous problems...plus none of the main character get a condom stuck to their face.

One of the absolute best things about SA is that over 10 years later and I still feel like I haven't explored the whole map. I still feel like I haven't done everything. This game had so many crazy rumors going on about it back in the day like Big Foot, serial killers, Big Smoke's ghost, the ghost cars, CJ's moms ghost, sharks being able to eat you, suicide jumpers, the suicidal camera person etc
RDR got Big Foot and GTA 5 got sharks
What I want is a game that has a shytload of hidden stuff. Like serial killers that randomly struck and you could catch in the act, kidnappers, monsters in woods and shyt, sea creatures. Don't even have that stuff apart of the story. Let players who explore find that shyt on their own. Even though San Andreas didn't have most of the stuff rumors were about but people spent a long ass time looking for Big Foot and it was fun. There used to be threads on other sites with people updating daily on their hunts.
Saints Row 2 is another game that had a shyt ton of secrets that weren't a part of the story and that you had to go out of your way to find.

lol at the countryside in SA being pure filler, there were whole mission strands that took place there, you could buy property there and even when you got to the desert stage of the game you were going back to the countryside to do missions, not to mention the side missions available there (triathlon, trucking missions, races etc.)

The countryside in V however was 100% filler, SA's countryside/desert was far better structured as it served as a boundary between the cities that you had to travel through to get to and from, in V it was just a load of mountains and one big lake with nothing of interest at all. The town at the top of the map was just a superficial addition with no purpose.
