Jerome/Barbara was having a Joker/Harley Quinn like chemistry 
Jerome reminded me of a line from Once Upon a Time in Mexico. His character was almost too good. He needed to be removed.

I think they killed him off because he was never intended to be the joker for real. Joker doesn't have a true origin and i think they wanted to keep that in tow

He's got multiple ones. If you read the killing joke there's a version of it there, if you ask him he'll give you something different. He said "If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it be multiple choice"

Appreciate the nod breh lol. You should definitely read the killing joke if you get a chance to. But don't think of it as his origin. He's got many origins in the comics and each writer decides which is canon or they come up with their own which is completely in the spirit of the character

But you gotta admit that his death was still premature? Even if he wasnt deemed to be the "Joker". They could have milked that at least until the midpoint of the season.

I really enjoyed this episode. I won't even complain about Jerome, because I guarantee this is not the last of "Joker", though the actor who portrayed him was excellent. I'm sure the next Joker will be great as well (If he died, some believe his death was faked).
I don't think so. Especially if that was always the plan and they said they structured this season like two separate arcs
