Even after fukking with Snyder, Ayer and butting heads with Rick Famuyiwa?

Snyder's movie was too long and Rick wanted a BLM Flash movie

Ayer's script was garbage so i can see why, which is probably why he's not writing this movie

Don't be surprised if Gotham City Sirens is rated R. I know everyone is going to jump in and say DC WILL NEVER make a R rated film. But, there are whispers this will be R.

the only reason they would even consider branching off deadshot into his own movie is because of will smith, who was admittedly the single best thing IN suicide squad as far as i'm concerned.

but i'm saying though... you have WILL SMITH... and he's agreed to do MULTIPLE dc superhero movies... off the top of my head i could probably think of 100 ways to get better use out of him than to waste him as fukkin DEADSHOT.

i'm sorry but a DEADSHOT movie is going to have a certain ceiling.
He's a secret government agent/super-villain/assassin for hire...there are almost infinite possibilities with that character.
And maybe the reason Smith is playing Deadshot is because he wanted to play Deadshot and not some other character.

Expected since Margot's Harley was one of the best things about Suicide Squad. Hopefully it's r-rated.

And of course Deadshot would get a movie.

Not seeing the issue with any of this :skip:

I think the problem some have is while SS made a lot of money, overall it wasn't a very good movie. So you are then going to spin off 2 movies off one not very good movie and people aren't going to have the highest of expectations. Then you also wonder how these 2 movies expand the DC universe considering who the main characters will be.

Wait people think this is a bad idea? :dwillhuh:

SS just did $750M worldwide. Margot Robbie is a huge star. Harley Quinn is a huge character. This movie is a license to print money. No matter how many critics or film room idiots want to pretend it's not a success it's a huge success. :russ:
Oh it'll print money. Just personally am skeptical as to whether it has a shot at being decent.

I said it before in this thread but I think skipping right to Gotham City Sirens is moving one step too fast. The dynamic between the three is that Harley and Ivy are established BFF's, with Selina entering the friendship as somewhat of a third wheel who stirs up the pot. They need to find a way to keep that intact. And for fukk's sake DC, do what's right and get Paul Dini as at least a creative consultant. Also, Ayer seems like a weird choice for this because you need someone who can nail these female interactions that form the heart of the movie, and Ayer is pretty much one of those machismo male fantasy directors. That's probably the weirdest decision about all this.

And not sure why everyone's in here talking about the Deadshot movie, although that's not even as baffling as people talking like Will Smith as Deadshot was anything special. The character had literally only one memorable scene in the movie and it's him busting his guns real well. Will added absolutely nothing to the role but arbitrary star power. I get building a movie around Will Smith sounds like sure money but Deadshot is really a flat one-note character unless he's part of a team so I don't even know where they want to go with that.
