:snoop: there's a difference from when Ayer directed SS and with him directing this

He has 3 people (Johns, Berg and Robbie) who can change anything in the movie and a writer that they hired. He can give input on shyt since he's a director but he can be vetoed by those 3 people if they aren't feeling it. Same with casting, crew, etc.

He's basically there to direct and pull out great performances out of the cast.

Also the Deadshot movie isn't gonna be a solo movie. If Harley, a character 100 times more popular than him isn't getting a solo why would Deadshot :mindblown: you guys have to use your heads

It's obviously Secret Six

I think the problem some have is while SS made a lot of money, overall it wasn't a very good movie. So you are then going to spin off 2 movies off one not very good movie and people aren't going to have the highest of expectations. Then you also wonder how these 2 movies expand the DC universe considering who the main characters will be.
Gotham Sirens expands the DC movie universe by introducing whichever characters make up the Sirens team and whichever characters are going to be the bad guys.
Also as much as I personally liked Suicide Squad I recognized where it had issues too and by taking away the responsibility of being the writer and director it basically allows Ayer to do what he does best which is direct and not have to worry about the script since someone else will be writing it.

I said it before in this thread but I think skipping right to Gotham City Sirens is moving one step too fast. The dynamic between the three is that Harley and Ivy are established BFF's, with Selina entering the friendship as somewhat of a third wheel who stirs up the pot. They need to find a way to keep that intact. And for fukk's sake DC, do what's right and get Paul Dini as at least a creative consultant. Also, Ayer seems like a weird choice for this because you need someone who can nail these female interactions that form the heart of the movie, and Ayer is pretty much one of those machismo male fantasy directors. That's probably the weirdest decision about all this.

And not sure why everyone's in here talking about the Deadshot movie, although that's not even as baffling as people talking like Will Smith as Deadshot was anything special. The character had literally only one memorable scene in the movie and it's him busting his guns real well. Will added absolutely nothing to the role but arbitrary star power. I get building a movie around Will Smith sounds like sure money but Deadshot is really a flat one-note character unless he's part of a team so I don't even know where they want to go with that.
The fact that Harley was introduced as an already established character instead of someone who just popped up in the Suicide Squad movie means that her being BFF's with Poison Ivy could already be a thing in the movie universe.

And the comic book version of Deadshot is far from a one note character. He is actually one of the more complex and layered characters in all comics but I doubt much of his comic book backstory will be used in a Smith movie.

Instead of a 'New Gods' movie to expand the universe/introduce audiences to Darkseid and rest of that fukkery, WB is trying for a Deadshot solo:pachaha::dead:

That Superman sequel people been wanting is never coming out either :pachaha:

Harley and Deadshot finna get trilogies before Superman or GL get sequels :mjcry::scust:
That's what I don't understand. Before we get any spinoff films from anyone outside of the Justice League we should get a Man of Steel sequel. I understand people didn't necessarily love Man of Steel and you got people still wanting that 70's Reeve era type Superman :scust: but we need that sequel. I want to see Clark go up against Parasite, Bizarro, Brainiac, etc. Even round two with Faora

I'm saying. MOS 2 should be first on this list. At least try to get superman right. They have the chance to make some great quality movies based on the New 52 and they want a Deadshot movie?

Because Batman's the GOAT and was the best thing about BvS.

Cavill is just bland as fukk, which is a shame because he showed a lot more charisma in The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. I don't think I've seen him in any other roles though, so maybe that falls on Snyder

Because WB doesn't care about anyone else but Batman

:scust:at "fans" being okay with a Deadshot movie taking precedent over Green Lantern or Superman
