They need to stay out of the editing room.

Suicide Squad was very obviously a case of too many cooks.

I dont think that was the case of BvS I think that one was they just wanted a tighter run time. They should have let the extended edition be the cut. That was a huge mistake. But I got the feeling Snyder was right there with them trying to appease wb while having control over what's being trimmed down

I garauntee ayer's first cut was a better product.

I mean,that scene of joker walking up saying "I'm just gonna hurt you really, really bad" was perfect in the trailer and then somehow butchered in the cut of the film.

it was an ensemble piece. just b/c people liked them over the rest (and really, who the fukk else were they supposed to like?) doesn't mean they need to branch out. giving Deadshot a movie would be like giving Hawkeye a fukkin movie. Here's a DCU comic movie about a guy who shoots really well!!!

Of course it'll make some money, but it's about the bigger picture. so far they've done an awful job of maximizing their profit potential. they've made a ton of money, when in reality they should have made a fukkTON of money.

I like Jeremy Renner but he's no Will Smith.

the only reason they would even consider branching off deadshot into his own movie is because of will smith, who was admittedly the single best thing IN suicide squad as far as i'm concerned.

but i'm saying though... you have WILL SMITH... and he's agreed to do MULTIPLE dc superhero movies... off the top of my head i could probably think of 100 ways to get better use out of him than to waste him as fukkin DEADSHOT.

People also loved Margot robbie as Harley and she has a passion for making more with the character.

So a film is a massive success,and two characters that have had solo comics have actors that want to do more and the fans want more and it's "throwing shyt at the wall"

Certain characters are so well known that people have expectations of what they have to be and fight against change of any kind.


Deadshot is not 1 of those characters. The average movie goer doesn't know him like that.

The different angles and stories they could take with the character are limitless,as long as the film is high quality and or crowd pleasing,not a given,then they could definitely turn it into something big.

I can see Deadshot's movie turning into a Secret Six one though where he leads his own team. I mean this isn't a Harley solo movie so i doubt Deadshot will get one. They will get one where they are the main character though.
