I've really been thinking about getting into this......:lupe:

What do y'all truckers recommend... Community college or one of the Trucking schools

Most of the major trucking companies have their own schools and they'll train you to get your CDL. Once you get your CDL with said company they'll hire you as a driver.

I thought about doing this in 2012 when I wasn't sure I was going back to college. One of those driving schools where you drove for the company afterward. She said since I had a speeding ticket recently I couldn't come :upsetfavre:

You got 3-4k to pay?
Not right now. I am looking to make this change early next year. I will have that change by then. . If not I have no problem going with a school that will pay.

I am single with no kids. . I love being alone. . I think I will like this.

Can anyone tell me how does it work?? Do you have to load and unload your own truck?:ohhh:

great info breh. when you say you went thru a company was this a trucking freight company? or a company who has local drivers

Yea, its a freight company. Dry goods. There's different divisions you can choose from after you get your CDL like flatbed and reefer(refrigerated goods) and liquids. Gotta get your hazmat to haul gases and things like that.

Depending on what company you get with if you gotta unload. Most over the road companies is little to no unloading and loading. In 1 year ive unloaded once, and that was like 3 pallets. Other than that, its back up to the dock and post on the coli till their done loading/unloading:yeshrug:
