I hear they're adding a new portion that's going to be required for you to pass in order to get it. And with that in mind it'll probably cost more money going forward after that.

I did a quick little search and basically the government is making it more difficult to obtain by making it more regulated. You have to go through their channels in order to obtain one rather than these smaller privately owned businesses who run their own thing at their own rates.
So people are probably going to be looking at paying higher rates, and spending much more time in the classes before they get it.
Down here in the South you literally can go to places and pay anywhere between 1,500 to 3500 to get the proper schooling to obtain one. In only a few weeks. No XYZ amount of driving hours required or whatever else the government is going to try to make law.

From what I saw, you'll have to go through the government ran facilities and training standards in order to get a CDL rather than through privately owned businesses who trained at their own prices.
You already able to pull doubles and triples??!! It’s dudes at my job who been driving for 15 years and haven’t gotten their triples yet.

I love when contract drivers can pull Corrosive, Flammable, Flammable-Gas placard loads. It’s less I got to worry about getting re-work and back stripped IF certain shifts even get around to doing.
I appreciate all y’all HZ qualified drivers.

So do y’all have to wear face masks ?? . Here in Illinois we’re mask mandated. And more specifically my company, so most of my day I have to have drivers put a mask on— and the ones who give me shyt act like I enjoy wearing one my whole damn shift
