Drive cement trucks. Local and home every day
How's the money?
Is that what you started off doing right after you became qualified to drive?

Naw i went over the road, then local dr pepper, then cement mixers. Here in Texas they start you at $22 per hour, 60 plus hours a week (OT after 40 hours)How's the money?

Not from the south but if you don't mind working nights you could be a linehaul driver straight out of trucking school if you want to work days you could work for a food company like Pepsi,us foods,Sysco but them niqqas work hard as fukk since you don't have any kids going to the gym would be easy if you get a local job
you in LA my cousin got his cdl out there and is currently working for xpo and got a 8,000 sign on bonus out there he makes great money he works 11 to 16 hours a day but is off weekends do it bro like i always say if you live near a big city you don't have to go over the road anymore LTL and food companies are hiring out of school now thats why alot of bigger trucking OTR companies are struggling to find driversThis actually sounds perfect. Out west (LA/Orange County), currently work full-time for a major tech firm while attending school (two year). Getting ready to transfer to a university soon and looking to do local night routes and university by day
Grabbing CDL-A (scheduled a driving school class).
Anything else a breh should do to prepare?
Brehs what's the best truck to buy. Which make and model should we stay away from? What's the engine to go for and which engine should we stay away from?
Driving local is pretty much the only way you're going to be able to hit the gym on a daily basis right? Or every other day
Some of the local jobs will have you not wanting to be in the gym daily. Choose wisely.
Care to expound?
What should I watch for?
Unless you like physical labor on top of your workout, LTL jobs should not be on your list.
Don't know how much experience you have, but I'd look for a local warehouse driver job or something going from a plant to a warehouse first. Shuttling jobs are cool. If you have a hazmat endorsement you'll have more options.
What about tanker? Also, is it something you can do as a beginner? I figure those gigs are pretty much all local.
