Drivers get paid off detention pay when y’all loads don’t be ready. Contractor drivers, Idk about them company freight drivers. Usually they get a new load so they can get rolling if they load ain’t ready or they take an empty unit or they bobtail.

If y’all don’t mind doing OTR for 4 days y’all need to hit up UPS they hiring hard and paying 71 cent a mile and 30 a hour for fuel,load and unload and breakdown my cousin is making 2700 to 3000 a week after taxes the only down thing that it’s team driving

So what is the general earnings range for a complete beginner who wants to get into the truck driving game? For somebody down south in south ie, alabama, georgia, Florida etc...
How quickly can you jump up and pay in terms of time put in?
How long would it take to get a gig driving locally and being home everyday?
How difficult is it to consistently stay in the gym while doing so?

Not from the south but if you don't mind working nights you could be a linehaul driver straight out of trucking school if you want to work days you could work for a food company like Pepsi,us foods,Sysco but them niqqas work hard as fukk
since you don't have any kids going to the gym would be easy if you get a local job

Days or nights doesn't really matter much. Just would like to be home everyday if possible (starting out).
But I hear OTR is usually what you have to do in the beginning.

Depends on where you are located most LTL companies hire people out of trucking school now YRC,Holland,ABF,XPO,central transport and old Dominion but you 100% percent can start out for food companies like Pepsi,Sysco and GFS foods hire out of trucking school I started with a water company I never did OTR
