I been thinking about recommending this to someone. Ultimately what's the best route once you get your license? What if they wanna be home after 6pm everyday and home on the weekends? I feel like truckers don't have a lot of time at home.

LTL sounds like one of their best bets for the hours and times they'd want to be home. Anything else will probably want at least part of your weekends.

Trucking has been good to me. It was a way to increase my funds and just clear my mind
One thing that is underrated that Trucking provides..... its a clear mind. The time you get to drive, gives your mind that alone time that it needs to relax, and give you perspective in life. I'm heading to school to get a degree. I may go back to it, we'll see

Im with Schneider right now. Got hired on for 4 days on 4 days off. But decided to just do 5 days on weekends off.
They have me bacc in Dallas every Friday afternoon. Leave on Monday morning

With this particular company (Hansen Adkins) it all depends. You can basically be home every night or otr. It’s your choice for the most part. They pay percentage of the load.
I just made it through the worst part of trucking; the OTR period with the trainer. I don't think I could ever do that again. I still don't know how to back for shyt but a lot of us rookies are winging it so I don't feel too bad. Just ready to start making some real money without a Mexican stereotype in my ear.

I haven’t driven a semi in like 7 months but I have an opportunity to make a couple racks in 2 days so here I go. Rusty, expired medical, and a system full of weed.
