@UpAndComing thanks for all the gems dropped in this thread. I saw the title of this thread for years but just now read through all of it cause i was bored with the current TLR threads. After seeing everything you and everyone else said i can't believe i avoided all this time reading it.

This would be even more perfect and align with me well if and when i'm able to go to Prairie View like i mentioned to you months ago. Having an engineering degree ina couple years while having a CDL license to work oil fields...all this in a state like Texas where the field is great for both(engineering and trucking)

:wow: :banderas:

The stories in here also :pachaha: yall really did make me realize that outside of the money being on the road you really will get thrown p*ssy like crazy lol.

After seeing this story on the coli last year though my goal is to be like this guy and become a millionaire ..but by the time im 40 .

:wow:

Now i just gotta figure out how to get a loyal conscious wife while this is going on but her not caring about me cheating while making that paper :to:

I saw a vice video on the entry level oil riggers bringing in 75k? For 6 months a year. 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Is this true?

What’s a typical day like for you trucking? How many do you spend driving a day?

typically I drive between 9.5 - the full 11 hours or close to it, depending on what schedule rotation my co-driver and I agree on.

Usually I drive days but I have been on nights for the last 5 weeks it seems like. Haven't minded because I'm in less traffic so it's an easier drive as long as I'm rested

That backing test was a bytch though :whew:

Road test was just me not being nervous

All the job opportunities I can have with this shyt. Over the road, Local, Dump Truck, Oil Fields, etc.

Still outchea. Been on a LTL job since last June. Work about 46-50 hours per week. Home every night. Good job for getting experience. The area I'm in is adding lots of new manufacturing jobs in the next few years so there will be lots of work going back and forth from warehouses to manufacturing plants. Might try to get in on that, or might try to go back to the tanker side.

How long did it take you to get used to driving for long times? How many times do you stop to stretch your legs?
