YikesI'm applying to CR England right now
Swift isn't a bad company tbh. But then again it's the only company I've ever worked for so I don't have anything to compare it to.You got that phone interview cause all the people in this thread ignored their calls . But seriously, they are horrible
CR England, Swift, and CRST are by far the worst companies to work for. Many reasons
- Promises of good pay for an entry level Driver, but they would lie and pay you like $300 a week and give every excuse in the book why you got paid that
- Dispatchers are your dictators. Have you going to a load in Maine, then tomorrow want to go to LA, then after, go to NY
- The hometime they promised never comes through. If you're supposed to be home every 2 weeks, you'll be home every 3 weeks
- They would hire anybody cause their turnover rate is huge
- They would treat you horrible whenever something in your truck breaks down. Have you stranded in some small town waiting for 3 days till your truck gets fixed
- I heard Swift started having cameras and voice recorders in the trucks
Go on Google, Craigstlist, and Indeed right now. There are at least 15 companies who would take a truck driver with 0 experience. Apply online and they'll call you ASAP
Honestly, I would still do the phone interview. But keep them on ice, hold them off until you find something better, and use these 3 as your absolute last resort
I work for swift. I just got paid yesterday.
Thank Y'all for the advice. Brehs in here flowing helping a young breh out!
After my phone interview today imma search around indeed for different options.
That $300 a week is
Especially considering I make $394 a week at my current spot.

I just switched to Central Transport.
They're starting me off at 22/hr, and will bump me to 23/hr after 6 months.
I think that's pretty good for wage slavery with no degree. And not to mention I'm home everyday and off every weekend, still.
Might be something you guys would want to look into.
Local or regional?
How much experience they require?I just switched to Central Transport.
