Dude gotta be one of the worst finishers at the rim in the league. It's baffling how bad his jumping ability is. 3 seasons in there's no reason he shouldn't be a stronger finisher at the basket. It's like Dude gets scared when he senses contact coming.
If by "strong finisher" you mean the type that could get into the lane and dunk on opponents I've already written it off as that just not being his game, period. Young players always show you their Athletic/leaping ability EARLY and develop the rest of their skills later. Winslow had never shown us any of that at all. I laughed when he had that dunk on the baseline and was hollering his rookie season and some of you were praising the shyt when he really barely got up there. :pachaha: Been saying this forever the kid can't jump. I've accepted that it's just not his game. He plays below the rim, period. Which is why I always laughed at the Kawhi comparisons too. He just needs to practice finishing his layups in traffic and he'll be fine. Review some of the old Wade tapes

I didn't see the play but the story on Winslow is he's got Trump hands. Apparently it's a running joke in the locker room, it explains the finishing more than jumping ability imo.
As in small hands?
Hassan 'gonna Hassan :manny:

Hassan still got some issues. Dude has that tunnel vision. But once again....It's not like hes doing this every time he gets the ball. He's improved a shyt load compared to when he first came to the team. And 3 of the 4 guys open in that pic were having bad shooting nights while hassan was 56%.

He's still got some things to work on but this is the attitude that made him a beast. He just has crazy belief in himself and I'd rather him not lose that. If it means putting up 2-3 terrible shots a game, so be it. Everybody else on the team puts a few terrible shots themselves. We always point out these kind of possessions where Hassan doesn't pass, but when he's making clutch buckets and putting the team on his back it's like :manny:.....dude has had enough clutch moment's in his career to where he should be given some trust down the stretch. Who else on the team has more clutch moment's than Hassan?....not just offensively, but defensively as well?....he may do some retarded shyt every now and then but over the past 2 seasons, he's been our most consistent player without question. I say let him cook:yeshrug:

Guys we'll be fine, we're just not an elite team. Team will get hot at some point and wind up with 42-47 wins.

Well that's a problem you can't fix. I'm sure he can overcome it by working on finishing just as he did his speed.

It's a damn shame that he can get to the basket at will now but can't finish the play by making a layup to save his life.
But again, WestBrook once had the same problem and look at him now

I cant seem to see the second trade. WOnt load. What was it?

Anyway, it's not quite time to panick yet. Our main issue is the rotation. Spo is acting like a kid that has too many toys to play with and cant seem to make up his mind. Part of me also thinks he's he's mostly giving Winslow , TJ and J-Rish all this PT to increase their trade value so Riley can ship them out.

I still say the starting lineup should be
  • Dragic
  • Waiters
  • Winslow
  • Olynyk
  • Whiteside
Bam, TJ, J-Rich, JJ and Wellington should be second unit. We can also have JJ and Olynyk together on the floor with Winslow when we go small and trying to outrun opponents since WhiteSide and Bam will slow us down in some matchups

Cant get it to load either for some reason. It was a 3 team deal, the outline was basically Hassan and a shooter to Milwaukee, Middleton and pieces to OKC, PG to Miami.

The problem is going to be due to the nature of Rich's extension he can't be traded until the off-season. Ira has said it several times so if its wrong information then blame him, but he's been pretty adamant about it. So now the issue is if you have to make a deal you almost have to sacrifice Winslow because teams may not want to touch TJ's contract. In that regard we might have been better served waiting until the offseason to make a decision on Rich, it's not like he's setting the world on fire and yet we cant include him on any trades.

*edit: just verified the J-Rich trade provision
if a player signs a contract extension for a longer period or higher amount than would have been permitted for an extension-and-trade, then the team is prohibited from trading the player for a period of six months following the date of the extension

Rich restriction expires: March 18, 2018
NBA Trade Deadline: February 8, 2018 :francis:
