I'm still waiting for the Winslow-Bam-Whiteside starting front court. We were fortunate last night because Favors wasn't made a focal point of Utah's offense but Winslow just isn't tall enough imo to be able to sustain guarding most 4's. Spo got this weird fixation on starting J-Rich no matter what and we end up cycling through 3 or 4 different guys to start at power forward when the reality is we should start Bam for his size (also preserving JJ & Olynyk roles off the bench) and role with Winslow at the 3. Winslow shooting a few percentage points higher from 3 than Rich has dismantled the whole we need a shooter argument.

Please no. I don't see bam and Whiteside being useful when they are on the floor together. Our entire offense is based on guards driving and kicking out to shooters or dumping it in downlow. Whiteside and Bam pretty much play the same type of game. Having them on the floor together won't work in my opinion

To me the starting frontcourt should be Winslow Whiteside and Olynyk, Period. I don't want Winslow to have any reason to stay camped out at the three-point line waiting to shoot threes. At least give him Olynyk with them on the floor so that when he drives he has dragic Dion Waiters or Olynyk to kick it out to

This is the type of scared mentality I'm always opposed to. How will we know anything without giving it a shot? If it doesn't work fine roll with something else but we have nothing to lose by trying.

I agree. I think Bam can guard bigger 4s and smaller 4s so what does it hurt? Hell, let him take a few NBA 3s and handle the rock. :yeshrug:

Bam showed a lot more potential than being a catch oops and set picks player.

Give him a shot, yes. Doesn't mean you need to be starting him.

He should be Whitesides backup because we struggle to rebound when Hassan is sitting. Bam may develop into an even rebounder than Hassan in the future, who knows? Put him out with the second unit with JJ and J-RICH. Him and Whiteside would clog up the lane too much together

Hassan with that ether on Gobert :pachaha:

“I’m so glad Dion hit that three, man, because I shot a jump hook and I thought Rudy Gobert goal-tended it,” Whiteside said. “But you know as a shot blocker, you don’t ever want the ball to go out of bounds. Young fella move.”

Word is Pistons' Defense supposed to be tough.

With our offense not being sharp yet will have to match the defensive intensity to make sure this doesn't get out of hand.
