A top shelf 3D guy would help so if his ceiling is that the we turned out ok given how bad he was on offense his first couple years. What we need now is a guy who can give us 22-23+ points and 5+ assists a night.

The thing is I think he can be that or something close to that if we focused our development for him to becoming that and allow him to have more ball handing and playmaking duties but we have James Johnson in his way. So, we focused on making him that top self 3 and D player that stays in the corner and does the little things. :mjcry:

nah, I ain't willing to bet on that. If it happens, it happens, but the plan can't be to hope Winslow becomes a 20ppg scorer.

Our best young players are "solid" at best. Can't build around solid. It would be like trading the 5th pick in 03 to build around Caron Butler.

right. Justise had ONE above average offensive game so far, people need to pump the brakes on "build around Justise and J Rich" they are role players. 3 and d guys. not stars or superstars.

We've all agreed that he can't jump. Thus why we have removed the J from his first name. I didn't make the shyt up
Nah the J was removed because he had no jumper. You were the one stuck on the jumping and Jamal mashburn comparisons. His play this series has shown that he can actually jump.

Obviously you missed him grabbing boards over Embiid and stuffing Robert Covington at the rim , but I'm not really in this conversation so I'll see myself out:sas1:

Justise ain't a guy who can rise in traffic, with the ball in his hand. He's a power jumper that can keep his balance while jumping into defenders.

But that's fine. You can be a below the rim player that can score and Justise has shown the ability to get to the lane, push the rock, and force bigs to rotate or foul him to stop him from getting to the rim. He needs to work on creating space off the dribble, more finishes in the paint, and his post game because he still has quasi-star potential.

His improvement has been exceptional. He's getting to a point that I expect him to knock down threes as opposed to him to flinching every time he shoots the ball. The improvement of his shot is nothing short of extraordinary and the fact that he was able to do it in a playoff atmosphere is huge.

FALSE.....He shot 38% from three and has much more control when he drives to the basket. He can easily improve to 40%. He was shooting in the 20's his first two years. Next year will tell us where he is at.
38 percent with a low volume attempt doesn't tell the whole story. Winslow is a great complimentary piece with great defense and can push the tempo when he takes charge on the fastbreak. However, we can't deny his blatant ineptitude as a scorer. Winslow's half-court skills is very flaw. His struggle to finish strong around the rim is not a pretty sight. We need to trade him for a pick.

None of us will argue that his 3pt shooting had vastly improved.

Sure he can get to the basket at will against most defenders. His problem was always and still is with FINISHING once he gets to the basket. Wasnt it just last month we were making fun of him being rejected by the rim?

Dude is 22 and improves tremendously EVERY year. I've seen Rubio and Rondo turn into capable scorers so why isn't Justise given the same chance. Justise and J-Rich are improve all the time. Justise went from being a below average ball-handler and playmaker into a capable one in the span of a season.
