Whiteside being traded is a bit complicated.
He's a very good player but not many coaches want him because he's a headache to deal with at times. Most coaches would rather deal with 2 mediocre players who do as they are told than 1 star who's a pain in the ass. Mofos cant afford to let Whiteside to drive their blood pressure off the roof.
But what we can count on is that GMs get greedy and wont give a fukk about their coaches think when they see stats and how he affects games
So i think a contender with a glaring hole at C would take a shot but likely wont have much they wanna give because they dont wanna break up the core that makes them a contender. Meanwhile a young team who wants to sell tickets and have a centerpiece (no pun intended) to build with their young roster could give up picks and SOME young talent but they wont fork over their best youngsters either.
Our hope right now (IMO) is a disgruntled star who wants out of his current situation. I know it's a long shot but I've been stalking the Anthony Davis situation in NO very closely
