Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Thats fair. I dont know what Winslow will or wont be in terms of player status, as I've touched on in here I've just always held him in the class of being a winning player. Not comparing his skillset to Draymond but he can have the same kind of impact on winning.

He can be a winning player, but you still need that thoroughbred scorer next to him. Also, it's harder for him to make the impact at SF defensively, what makes Draymond really shine defensively is that playing PF allows him to help off a lot of guys and roam, it's much harder for an SF to have a large effect on defense. Teams can just go away from the side of the floor he's on, sort of like they did with Kawhi last year.

The goal for Winslow should be becoming what Robert Covington currently is, who is arguably the best pure 3 & D guy in the league. It's not as flashy of a name as Kawhi, but RoCo has been a monster this year.

Apparently Napier has found his niche in Portland
That failed move by the Heat to Shabazz Napier in the 2014 NBA draft? Perhaps merely premature judgment. The former UConn point guard has recently found a comfort zone in a three-guard Portland Trail Blazers rotation with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. "Sometimes you need somebody to give you -- I don't want to say praise -- but somebody to notice you," he told the Oregonian, after uneven stints with the Heat and Orlando Magic, "notice that you do work your butt off. I've been in the right position at the right time and I'm able to flourish in it."

I don't typically dwell on guys that got away but to this day it pisses me off they let you know who deebo them into drafting him then gave him away for nothing :dahell: All he needed was time and we had plenty of it

None of these guys are superstars, yall were invoking the name of Kawhi when it comes to Justise, seems like the expectations have come down which is fair.

Yall didn't draft him to be a mini Draymond, you took him under the assumption he could be a 3 & D wing, and the name of Kawhi was mentioned a lot in relation to him.

He's 28 and a finished product that has some really ugly warts with his game, his refusal to pass is just :scust: at times. Why you going off on another subject too, you been holding a grudge against me on the low :hubie:

Whiteside ain't finished. He just added a three point arsenal and a consistent faceup mid-range to his game while pulling spin moves that make guards jealous. He's also getting better defensively every year.

Kawhi and Jimmy Butler. Who says he can't improve like Jimmy or PG? He's already shown ball-handling and playmaking better than Kawhi or Butler has showed at this age.

We traded for him on draft night... I don't remember what we gave up

Sometimes it takes a change of scenery for a player to grow. He just didn't fit the Heat's system and to purge the Heat of anything Lebron related

@Malta isn't wrong in his assessment in Winslow so far. He hasn't gotten too many minutes but he hasn't been amazing in the minutes he's gotten so far. I still think his potential is sky-high considering his skillset but it's going to be hard to bring that out without a major roster reshuffle.

Even then, Spo has got to start giving him more minutes. His 3P% is bad but his shot looks way better than before. Hardly any airballs and his shot keeps going in and out. He's still shooting a better percentage and can do far more than J-rich or TJ on the court(Justise is currently shooting career highs in 3P% and FT%, low sample size, but still). He really should be getting 30MPG at least, especially considering we have no one at SF.

At the same time, I'd like to see Winslow be a bit more aggressive, considering the guys he's playing with, he isn't going to get any plays ran for him so I'd risk the Spo doghouse and try to put the ball in the hole as much as possible. Go get that bag.

If we didn't give that contract to Waiters and Winslow had the same responsibility he had to start last season, I think he'd be showing a bigger jump than RHJ(Who's looked pretty good so far).

Even then, I have a feeling Waiters is going to bust his ankle soon and Winslow will shine. and when he does.......
