Been avoiding this thread so I didn’t catch any spoilers but just finished.
Just rewatched the whole series (including L’immortale), finishing with s5 when it aired on Sky Atlantic and this show is top 3 - any genre.
I’m regards to s5, it was good although not spectacular - the last episodes didn’t have that “oh shyt
“ factor that the final episodes of the first 3 seasons had but the first four episodes of this season up to
were fukking flames.
MVP of the season was Lil Monk - he was a bytch but dude that played him killed that role. Shout out The Gentleman too.
I’ll rewatch the whole thing again once I cop the s5 Blu ray to see where this rank in the top but it’s top 3 for sure.

I liked the ending too, both the season overall and the last 2 episodes, I think it was a fitting end, if I'd have to criticize something it's
It's been a hell of a ride
One of my top shows for sure, great consistency, great music, great characters, grimy af... what more you need 
a bit sad that it's over but they finished it just the right time, the show got a lot bigger since it started too and I hope it will continue to find new audience in the following years
maybe that the showrunners didn't know what to do with Enzo and his crew after season 3/4. In season 3 Enzo had a huge part, seemed like they are building him up to be a character of Genny's of Ciro's importance but after season 3 and especially after season 4 where they only left with 3 people they were kinda just lingering around. Fair enough though if I write it on the conto of the show creators just wanted to show with their story how a relatively harmless (compared to other camorristas) group of young guys get armed, exploited, and die out in this world in quick succession.
It's been a hell of a ride

I think the ending ties in nicely with the 2008 film.

Can't lie had a hard time getting back into it at the beginning of the season, sometimes I felt it was a little over the top with all the shooting and the long stares but it gradually got better and better.
Sidenote I started watching right at the beginning of this whole pandemic era so this
is basically the soundtrack of these past two years

I was MAD at the ending but then again it only makes sense. In some way I fell Genna didn't even feel right about getting away, like he said earlier he's not built for that regular everyday life. And he had already accepted hsi fate. All he wanted was for Azzu and Pietro to be safe. And I also like the idea that it deads any possible talks of a next season. This was a great ride.

Nah breh but I move a lot between Spain and Italy. I am Latin 100% though, from Romania.
As for Southern music, check Spotify. They have some playlists with good ones.

Genny putting ciro in the gulag made no sense and was a dumb reason to have them made at each other. Didn’t like how they made ciro a Jesus like figure.
Alright season but the ending went off the rails at the end when they were at the beach .
seasons 1 and 2 were goat but they should have kept ciro dead in the water instead of forcing him into the last season and movie.

The ending couldn't have been anything else really, though the way it was done could've been better.
Then again, it has shown season after season it's a world without winners, they all end up dead eventually, so it fits.
