Ciro still being alive is utterly ridiculous and requires to much of a suspension of belief. Kind of takes away from the series for me. And then they doubled down with that escape from the Gulag.
One thing Ciro was right about is Genny being a bytch for him. Smh at hyperventilating because of another man.
You're almost to the end of it all. Nothing to glamorize in this series, which is why it's so highly-regarded, even with Ciro being The Immortal and plot armored.
But....as you've figured out by now, there are absolutely NO main characters in the entire series with morals or values. Like none. Ciro is one of the main characters, so his fukkery sticks out.
- Daniele was cool, then lured into the drug game. Killed a man because Ciro told him to do so.... Had a decent job fixing motorcycles & scooters, but ditched it as soon as easy money was offered.
- Ciro's wife? She knew what he was into for years and how far he would go. Was fine with it until her daughter almost got killed. Wasn't a problem when it was other folks' sons.
- Malamore? Killed many people, including a child.
- Patricia? Almost let her own brother drown rather than giving up information on Don Pietro.
- Enzo? Killed an honest desperate man trying to make a living for his wife and disabled son. And he knew that.
- Azzura? Gave the go-ahead to kill her own pops.
- Tiziana? Knew she was fronting the consortium and laundering mafia money.
The list is long. Of course, not including the kids in this.
